Friday May 23rd 2014—The big day! The first ever #TakeOffJustLogo rally took place in Dallas, Texas.
With countless hours of preparation and planning, Sufis all over the United States were ready to voice their concern in front of the Roberto Cavalli store at North Park Mall.
Hundreds of students travelled by buses and planes to support the local Texan students in the fight to stand up to Roberto Cavalli’s blatant misuse of their sacred Emblem.
At 5 pm the Sufis took to the street with banners and signs in hand, peacefully demonstrating, raising awareness and voicing their concerns.
The rally proved a success, with people stopping to acknowledge the crowd and ask questions, and even catching the attention of local news stations, with the story being featured on TV that very night.
Being the first city to rally against the misuse of the Sacred Emeblem, the attendees had few expectations, but were filled with passion, drive and high hopes.
The outstanding exposure that was received at this demonstration has helped to provide further motivation for other demonstrations across the world, including in Germany, UK, and other US demonstrations, including LA and New York.
The #TakeOffJustLogo Twitter campaign also continues to grow, with a fast-growing number of active members, providing ample determination and fire to press on with further global demonstrations until the sacred emblem is returned.
