An estimated 200 people lined Rodeo Drive sidewalks Saturday to protest a fashion company’s use of an image that an Islamic group says looks like one of their religious symbols.
“What our symbol means to us is, it represents God, purity and all that is good. Now it represents sexuality in this corporation using it for financial gain,” event organizer Nasim Bahadorani said.
