As reported by the fashion industry in 2013 the inspiration for Roberto Cavalli’s new Just Cavalli collection is from Persia and Islamic architecture.
MTO Shahmaghsoudi’s logo is a design which not only bears Islamic heritage but is from the very same country Roberto Cavalli got his inspiration from – Persia, modern day Iran. The claims by Roberto Cavalli in recent news coverage that he knew nothing about the Sufi sacred emblem and that any similarities were purely coincidental is a little hard to believe but this is coming from a person who openly has stated that as a fashion designer you cannot be too truthful.
It is clear to see that MTO Shahmaghsoudi was not the inspiration for Roberto Cavalli’s collection but was in fact the blue print for his entire Just Cavalli range.
Money causes short sightedness especially in todays media and amongst those who control big corporations.
It is surprising that with all this evidence and the awareness that the #TakeOffJustLogo campaign has created that officials are still unwilling to see.
#TakeOffJustLogo is a campaign about human integrity, human morals, and human rights. It is about standing up to those who think they can oppress. Roberto Cavalli it is time to take off just logo.
